Ruth Eldora White

December 4, 1926 - October 3, 2014

Ruth White was born Dec. 4th, 1926 and passed away on October 3rd, 2014 in St. Petersburg, FL. She was 87 years old. She was born in Bedford Ohio and moved to Florida shortly after she was married. Ruth is survived by her three children William, Katie, and Timothy; three grandchildren Tiffany, Ryan , and Alyssa; and three great-grandchildren Aubree, Ainslie, and Avery. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard. She also leaves behind one brother, Robert Bryant who lives in California. Ruth retired from the St. Petersburg Beach Library after more than 35 years of dedicated service. Ruth spent most of her life caring for her children and grandchildren. She would always care more about how to help others when life just seemed to get the best of them than every worry about herself. Her love and generosity will be an inspiration to us all. Ruth enjoyed quilting, spending time with her family and friends, was known for her quick wit, and was an HO train enthusiast. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die. A private memorial is being held where her friends and family will say their final goodbyes.
