Michael A. Phillips, 62 of Seminole lost his battle with cancer on August 5, 2019. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, moved to New York City, attended St. John’s College and Fordham University. His love was client entertainment and cooking. He owned 3 restaurants in New York earning 3 Stars for one of them. On Page 6 of the New York Post he was declared one of the most eligible bachelors in New York City. He then worked for NBC as the food service coordinator of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Moving to St Pete Beach, Florida he again chose the food service industry first at Orange Blosom Catering, Freedom Square and lastly Palms of Largo. He loved to travel starting early in his career. At the age of 20 he brought back wine from France, traveled to Egypt, spent his 50th birthday in China and traveled all through Europe. His last trip to celebrate his 60th birthday was to Normandy and Paris, France. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth. Father, Erwin Deceased. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children, Michael’s favorite charity. Celebration of Life will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 11565 66th Ave N, Seminole, Fl 33772, On Friday, August 30, 2019 at 10am in the chapel..
