Edward "Ed" J. Galmish

Edward “Ed” J. Galmish, 74, passed away peacefully Monday morning, October 18, 2021, at his residence in Seminole, FL. Ed was born on June 4, 1947 in Youngstown, OH. He was the son of the late Edward Albert Galmish and Mary Kossick Galmish. He was a 1965 graduate of Poland High School. There he was an accomplished football player, later on being inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame. He primarily worked as a teacher throughout his life, both in Ohio and Florida, up until his retirement in 2013. His true passions, if you asked him, was having the best kept yards in Florida and cabin in Blue Ridge, GA. His love for the holidays was felt by anyone that walked into his home. Every holiday was special, especially when he got to spend it with the ones he loved most. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Peggy, daughter Lisa (Chris) Jarrad, sons; William (Ashley) Verner, Ryland (Jessie) Galmish, Doug (Roge) Galmish, brother Robert Galmish and sister Kathy (Branson) Jacobs. One of the biggest joys in his life was being a grandfather, which he was affectionately called Bopper by all 10 grandchildren. A viewing was held at Veterans Funeral Home in Clearwater, FL and services were held at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Largo, FL on October 23, 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have donations to Moffit Cancer Center foundation, moffit.org/give. And as Ed always preached take care of your family.
