Carl Emery

March 7, 1942 - August 13, 2014

Carl Emery,72, passed away on August 13 in St Petersburg. He had just returned from a six week vacation to his sisters Sara LaBrant in Black Mountain,North Carolina. Carl was the son of the late Martin Emery and Josephine DeMaria. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on March 7,1942. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Bob LaBrant of Black Mountain,NC. and Brother F. Richard Emery of Spolsylvania,Va. He had many nieces and nephews. Carl was a loner. He bothered no one, was honest and trustworthy. He could only finish tenth grade but he did the best he could. He enlisted in the Army and despite his small size he became a medical technician and served his six months active duty and years of reserve duty. He went on to marry (10 years) and to serve as a mechanic during the Vietnam war. After the war, his marriage dissolved as did his job. It was no easy life. He will be remembered by many in a humorous way. He was a good man and has gone to a better place. R-I-P Carl Emery.
